According to a new report, Canada boasts ten of the top business schools in the world. In fact, four of the top forty can be found in Ontario. The study examined 146 business schools in order to determine which were best at incorporating sustainability considerations into their institutes, programs, and research.
York University’s Schulich School of Business ranked second largely thanks to their research program. No other business school matched their number of published articles in peer-reviewed journals on sustainability.
The Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics at the University of Guelph ranked the 18th most sustainable. They offer an MBA in Sustainable Commerce, with many of their courses making sustainability a central theme.
The Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto came in at number 31. This is because it hosts some of the country’s leading institutes that aim to advance sustainability.
Finally, Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management was 37. Notable highlights include their Institute for the Study of Corporate Social Responsibility, the integration of ethics and social impact into their courses, and one of the most gender-diverse faculties in the world.
